Chapter 32; Video/Action for Violet City

[[Today you're greeted with a rare sight. Not only is Rose wet and dressed in a rather cute Dratini themed bikini, but she's outside and wearing a rather smug grin.]]

Dave, I would just like to show you this little gem.

[[And here she holds the Violet City badge up to the camera.]]

I thought I would give you a good week or so to obtain it first, seeing as I was already a badge ahead of you, but this is getting ridiculous. I think I will change my goal of only obtaining useful badges. From here out, I will work towards all of them. We'll make this a competition, how's that sound? A friendly sibling rivalry.

Who can come to possess all eight badges first? Lalonde? Or Strider?

[[Chuckling, she tucks the badge back in her bag, straightening once more.]]

That said, I felt a celebration was in order. And, seeing as it is so warm out, what better way to celebrate than with a little summer party? John, Dave, you are both expected to attend, and I will not take no for an answer. You might want to dress water friendly.

Anyone else in the Violet area is perfectly welcome to come as well.

[[From here, the camera is turned, apparently to show of various attractions as she begins explaining everything.]]

We're equipped with Insufferable Prick, resident sprinkler system. The newest addition to my team, Haze, can offer plenty of cooler temperatures being an Ice Pokemon. Halos is more than willing to fetch you snacks or beverages if you'd like.

[John gives Prick a somewhat wary look. He's been on the receiving end of a water gun attack before (thank you so much, Soul) and he's really not certain that he wants to repeat that right this second.]

Uh, I think I'll sit with you for now. [Gladly. He will gladly join her on that towel.] Oh and uh, I'm not the one who picked that out. Casey is.

[This causes the Lopunny to straighten up a little, looking rather proud of herself.]

[[Shrugging, she seems pleased that he joined her.]]

Well wonderful choice Casey. How are you both?

[This is a thank you, Rose, even though you can't understand it. Apparently Casey doesn't feel like joining the two humans though. She's looking around for something instead. Specifically: Guile and/or halos.]

We're fine. Haven't really done much today. Mostly just laying around playing tetris while Casey doodled for a bit. And Sassacre here [His eyes flick upward to the little snake in question.] spent the whole morning staring out the window. Though that's really nothing new. What about you? Aside from your water party, I mean.

[[Both Pokemon are nearby. Guile is sunbathing on a warm rock, while Halos is looking at flowers, a small bouquet already forming in one of his fins. Bet you can't guess who those are for.]]

Very well thank you. We've been actually enjoying the sun, what with Prick and Haze to keep us cool for the most part. I was considering attempting to tan earlier, but I fear my skin merely tried to burn instead. So sunblock was liberally applied. Oh well.

[Casey has no idea. She can't even guess who those could possibly for. She's going to very quickly scamper over to Halos though. She would go say hi to Guile too but...if she doesn't want to wake her if the psychic is asleep. She looks so comfortable over there. Hi Halos, hi. Look at Casey's sarong, isn't it pretty?]

Are you okay? You didn't actually burn anywhere did you? [He gives her a quick glance over. Just checking for sunburn, he swears. The fact that he gets a nice, up-close, in-person-and-not-over-video view of all that bare skin is just a bonus.]

[[Laughing, she nods.]] I'm fine John. I might be a little pink in a few areas, mostly my back, but nothing hurts so I am going to assume I will live.

[[ohjeezhicasey. Gosh your sarong is pretty. Halos is all sorts of shy and bashful, and is doing his best to tell you how pretty he thinks it is, but he's stuttering pretty bad. But oh look! These flowers are apparently for you! Because you're just so pretty, and they're pretty, and they're pink which matches your sarong...]]

Okay, if you're sure...if it does start hurting though, let me know. I'll go find some of that aloe vera stuff and rub it on your back for you. [...oh jeez, wait. That sounds kind of bad, doesn't it?] ...I-If you want, that is.

[Oh Halos, you're so cute. And Casey absolutely love those flowers! In fact she loves them, and more importantly you, so much that she's going to........................

Mmm, I would appreciate that. It's rather hard to reach my back myself, after all. But it doesn't hurt now. Thank you though.

[[OhgoshohgoshahugfromCasey. Halos is so excited. He's...kind of getting a little staticy. Nothing to hurt, but it's probably causing a bit of a tingle for poor Casey. And likely helping to fluff her fluff a little extra. Though he is hugging you back at least!]]

Hah...yeah, it is. Oh and...I forgot to mention it earlier, but I really like your swimsuit too. [Fidget, fidget.] It's really cute.

[It's okay Halos! Casey likes your static-filled hugs. See, she's kind of like her daddy in some regards. And romantic corniness is one of them. If the issue was ever brought up to her, you could expect a cheesy response like "But our hugs are ~electric~" or something like that.]

[[With a slight blush, she turns her head away from him, but only so she can lean against his shoulder a little.]]

[[Oh jeez Casey. Really? That's terrible. But at least you like them. He would be terribly scared of hugging you if you didn't, because he has a bad habit of it. >:]]

You're welcome. [And he leans a little against her in turn.] So will anyone else be joining us? Or do I get you to myself all afternoon? [If you can't tell, Rose, he has no objection to this.]

[Yes. Really. This is what happens when you spend so much time around John. You start acting like him. She's finally pulling away now though, taking a moment to look at the bouquet from earlier and give it a sniff.]

Sollux said he would likely drop by with Feferi, once he's able to purchase swimwear. Vriska will also be joining us at some point as well. If you'd like though, you're free to come back to my room later in the evening. We could likely pick up some dinner on the way.

[[He's so nervous. He hopes you like them. He spent so much time picking them out for you Casey. All afternoon! Or at least the part that he's spent outside. He picked the prettiest, most vibrant and alive ones he could find!]]

[Ohh Miss Lalonde ohh. How you give this poor boy the vapors. Inviting him back to your room so soon? At least you're taking him to dinner first.]

I would enjoy that immensely, Miss Lalonde. So it sounds like a plan to me. No word from Dave yet, though?

[She loves them. They smell so pretty and they are so pretty and Daddy is going to have to teach her how to press flowers at this rate. Because she never wants to get rid of any of the flowers that you give her. Even when they get all dried out like the first one you ever gave her. True. Though I'm surprised he didn't at least comment on your badge and the fact that you beat him to it.

[She may have to do this. Because it's so very hard to keep them nice-looking and whole in a backpack.]

[But for now she is just going to giggle and assume that shy, "oh, you really think so?" pose, batting her eyelashes a little. You sure know how to make a girl feel special, Halos.]

[[Ohjeez. And you sure know how to make an Ampharos like him all sorts of flustered and fluttery feeling inside. He feels like his stomach's full of Butterfrees right now, Casey. Just...going to stare dumbly, unsure of what to say. Or how to say it. And even then he'd probably stutter.]]

I'm not too worried about it. He's likely busy with his boyfriend. He chose an awfully high maintenance one after all.

Haha, yeah, he sure did. I'm still not sure why he actually agreed to that. Though...I thought Eridan stayed in Goldenrod? Or did he sneak out on his own after us again?

[She's about to make it worse, Halos. While you stand there all flustered and unsure, she's going to lean over and give you a kiss on the cheek. Tee hee.]

Just because he's in Goldenrod doesn't mean he's incapable of pestering him over the network. Unfortunately.

We haven't spoken recently, so he hasn't had the chance. I'm sure he won't pass it up however.

[He'll stay sitting up for now. Though he will put his hands out behind him and lean back a little.]

Yeah...it's not too bad today, I guess. [He glances around, catching sight of Haze. Earlier, he was so distracted by her attire that the fact that Haze had clearly evolved went totally past him, but he's definitely noticing now.] So you finally evolved Haze then?
