Chapter 18; Filtered Text/Filtered Video;

[Filtered to the Violetstuck Crew, Kanaya, Nepeta and Death the Kid.]

Good day everyone. As many of you, if not all, should know by now, we are hoping to depart from Violet very soon. The moment Kanaya, Nepeta and Death the Kid all arrive, in fact.

As such, there are quite a few things that need to be straightened out to help ensure we're able to leave on such short notice, and will be prepared for the travel ahead. I have questions I am expecting each of you to answer, preferably in a filtered response to avoid any disagreements or fighting.

My first question pertains to how much money each of you has. There is a list of supplies everyone will need to acquire, and we will need to know who cannot afford it, so that they can be assisted in obtaining them or possibly set up for sharing some of the less personal supplies with another group member.

The next - and this is why I would like your replies to be filtered - is whom each person would prefer to and not to travel with. I already have an idea on a few pairs that I will be avoiding, but a personal preference from each is also desired. Everyone will be traveling in pairs so that everyone will have someone keeping an eye on them. This is to help lessen the chance of members getting separated from the group and lost, particularly within Union Cave.

I'd also like to know the levels of everyone's Pokemon. Because we will have members with substantially weaker Pokemon who will likely struggle in battles on their own, I am hoping to balance it out enough so that they will not need to worry and will have a stronger trainer nearby to help in case they do get attacked or challenged.

If anyone is good with navigation and directions, or fishing, please let me know that as well. Soul will also be teaching various willing members how to fish, so we'll be able to catch food while we're out. If you're willing to learn, it would be much appreciated.

Finally, here is a list of supplies each and everyone one of you will need. It is not a large list by any means, but an important one.

A thermos and canteen, a warm coat, a pair of gloves, food and first aid for your Pokemon. Since the food we'll be purchasing to take will be of the dry variety - meaning rice and pasta and such - you are encouraged to look into sauces which might help with flavor. As mentioned previously, fish will also be caught for food, so keep that in mind as well.

There are various other supplies for the group that will be needed, so if anyone is able to and willing to help afford them, do let me know. The total cost would be split equally amongst those contributing, so as not to take more of what you've earned than needed.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask them of me or Soul. If anyone is still wishing to challenge the gym, I would do so now.

You will refrain from purchasing any snacks. Period. When I give you the ability to look for some form of topping for your food, I am speaking of one or two bottles. You are not spending all of your money on cheese puffs and soda this time.

[[Now she switches to video, in which a quite happy looking Shinx is the first thing you'll be greeted with Kisa, followed by a pink tongue against the camera.]]

He hatched a few days prior, however I have only recently found time to sit down with him like this. He is a bundle of energy, and is constantly going. His name is Loke.

[[Handing him a plate, she gives him just a little bit of everything. The rice, what she figured was chow mein, plain chicken to dip in various sauces, an eggroll and a few dumplings. There was only one box that she didn't give him anything out of, to which she helped herself.]]

I haven't received replies from everyone yet, so the notes aren't complete. But they are getting there. The only partnership I decided on myself was Soul, Maka and Eridan.

And even then, that was because Soul refused to let Maka be with anyone else, and was the only one to seriously offer taking Eridan.

[Karkat noms at his lunch, then, trying bits of this and that.]

Eridan would probably want to go with Gamzee, but there's no way I'm letting those two doofuses go together. They're get lost and hold us all back.

I take it Sollux didn't want to go with him, then?

He does, and exactly.

...Though at the moment, that doesn't really matter. He's managed to pass out. Much akin to Dave. Just, without hitting his head on any stoves. Soul is currently taking care of him.

[[Nibbling quietly at her own food.]]

He would prefer not to if he doesn't have to. Sollux would rather go with Aradia and someone else. A group of three.

[Karkat would facepalm if his hands weren't full. Instead his closes his eyes, looking irritated.]

That dumbass has the shittiest sense of timing, I swear. If Soul really wants to drag him around that much, good for him.

[A moment to eat a little as he thinks.]

It would be easier if we could just go by connection chains from Sgrub, but there's what you said about Eridan, then we've got Crona and Kid to think about, that Scratch guy, Feferi's absent, and I'm starting to think Tavros might be too.

Then you add in things like Dave and me, or you and me, or Soul and Jade, and so on.

Fuck, organizing this is going to be a clusterfuck.

[[Listening and eating, she leans back against the couch.]]

Well Soul, Maka and Eridan are already one. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Soul will also drag Jade with him no matter what either of us say, so I am simply going to assume the four of them will travel together.

Kanaya and Vriska is a pair you suggested that would work, and from what I've heard Scratch would like to travel with Kanaya. If Kanaya agrees to either or both, those three are off the list.

Sollux would like to travel with Aradia, and mentioned that he wouldn't mind traveling with you or Terezi as the third member there. He doesn't want to travel with Vriska, definitely, and would prefer not to travel with Eridan.

Crona and Kid could always travel together, seeing as they know each other.

Nepeta simply doesn't want to travel with Eridan or Scratch. She'd prefer traveling with you especially, it seems, but is alright with anyone else, so if that's true she should be fairly easy to pair with someone.

[[Setting her food down to pick up one of her notebooks, flipping through it.]]

I've yet to hear from Dave, Terezi, Aradia, Kid or Gamzee.

--I don't want Nepeta with me. She's got like, a flushcrush or something on me, and now thanks to time shenanigans she doesn't know about me and Dave. So I don't want her fucking hanging off me or trying to convince me to roleplay or shit like that. She and Terezi would probably go well together, but I don't know how that fits with Sollux.

I know I want to go with Dave, and I'd rather not have to deal with Gamzee if I can give that job to someone else. But I doubt you want to steer a druggie juggalo around, so ... I don't know, shove him off on Scratch for all I care. Better those two than Scratch with Kanaya.

Crona and Kid could maybe go together if Crona's not going with Soul and Maka, but I don't know how they get along. Crona could go with me too. Kid could go with Kanaya and Vriska maybe...

[Hrrmmmm.]

Or if Terezi went with Sollux and Aradia, maybe you and Nepeta... Or, unless you and John want to...

[Rubbing a hand through his hair.]

This is fucking confusing. You know what, fine, you be the assistant if you can sort this mess out.

...John and I? [[This causes her brain to catch a moment. She hadn't really considered that option yet, and now that she was she really couldn't think of anything else. Her mind wandered, eyes staring down and focusing at the notebook.]]

If you don't mind my curiosity, why would you figure John and I would want to travel together?

[[Yup, she apparently didn't hear anything other than that.]]

[He glances her way. Her focus on that is pretty telling.]

You both seem to think pretty well of each other in some form or another, even if John's a dumbass about it like he is everything else. I figured you'd enjoy it. He's one of the ones I think need to be kept in line, anyway, and you're suited enough for that job.

...he thinks well of me? [[Reaching up, she rubs her neck a little in thought.

I was honestly thinking he'd do alright on his own, but perhaps you're correct in that assumption. I'll keep that in mind, I suppose.

[[Jotting the note down, she hums thoughtfully, looking the list over.]]

This shouldn't be too difficult once I've answers from everybody, honestly.

He likes you in some capacity, anyway. Doesn't seem to have it sorted out well, but like I said, he's stupid.

You obviously think pretty well of him yourself from how you've described him in the past. Even when I point out the shit I hate about him.

It helps when the things you hate seem to be some of the things I enjoy most. And I don't really think stupid is the word to use there. He's most likely just confused is all.

But you've got me curious now since you were asking about him and all. What exactly do you think of him? Not what you like or don't, but more general.

You two would probably fall head over heels for each other without even realizing it, but I'll do you the favor of pointing out the obvious: you've more than likely got flushed leanings towards each other. Or at least you for him.

[[She tries to reply, but mostly manages a few incoherent sounds. Her? Flushed for John? The thought is absolutely absurd. He's ridiculous! He's incredibly silly! He's John.

Still though, she also isn't denying it. Perhaps that's what those incoherent attempts at replying were, but we'll never know. She's going to enjoy her own chinese, wishing her hair was longer because she knows she's blushing.]]
