Three years ago today I was kicked out of my mother's house into a frozen wasteland, expected to travel on my own with nothing but the most annoying animal to keep me company.

[There's an almost listless sigh to accompany the narrative. The screen is taken up by the sight of the ocean in the late afternoon. If the voice wasn't a give away, it likely isn't hard to guess who is broadcasting this.]

I'm really grateful that whatever brings people here decided to bring me. These have been the best three years of my life, I'm fairly certain. The friends I've made, the relationships I've formed, the bonds with the Pokemon I've acquired...all my adventures and the memories I've made.

I want to sincerely thank everyone here for having me. And tell you all that I'm glad you're here with me, even if we haven't met. Because I'm sure our paths will cross eventually.

It's been forever since I've done a filter like this. I just wanted you all to know how happy I am to have you guys here with me. Partly because I truly value your companionship, and partly because I'm just...glad you're out of the shit that our life was back home. Thank you for being my friend.

Besides, that is all completely true. And there is nothing wrong with admitting it. I don't think there's a single place I could be that I'd be happier.

[John chuckles, wrapping an arm around Rose's waist and pulling her close.]

And for the record, I am truly happy to have you here with me too.

[An arm of her own goes around his shoulders and she kisses his temple.]

Good. I'm glad to hear that. I'd be a little upset if you weren't, to be honest!

Hehe. So what's on the agenda for today?

[Lightbulb.]

Oh, right! And here's to another year. [He leans up and presses a kiss to her cheek. Since, you know, he just said like two weeks ago that they were going to do this. Again.]

Thank you, darling. The same to you, of course. [With a chuckle, she moves to wrap her second arm around his shoulders, giving him what can be considered a half hug, half cuddle.]

I have quite a few things on the agenda today, actually.

[She tucks her gear away, taking his hands and pulling him into a short twirl before pressing herself close to him.]

It's going to be very romantic.

[John goes limp noodle in Rose's arms when she presses up against him, looking caught off-guard. It's like Meenah hugging him all over again what is going on here.]

...did you just twirl me?

[Whoa what's with the noodling, John? Not that it's a problem but come on, she's trying to be ro--oh that's why. She laughs.]

I did just twirl you.

[Of course she did. He knew she did and yet he asked anyway because he just wasn't sure what else to say to that.]

Okay. Soooo...I take it that means the "it's going to be very romantic" stuff is starting right now then, huh?

[She's going a step further, turning at the hip to dip him, stealing a kiss.]

Right on the money, sweet cheeks.

[This grin says knows she sounds like a total dork saying that but whatever!!!]

W-Woah!!

[Jeez, Rose, careful!]

[Once he regains his balance and it becomes obvious that he's not going to slip and crack his head open on the deck, John giggles and fans himself exaggeratedly.]

Golly, Miss Lalonde! I dunno if I can make it through the whole evening! This is quite a case of the vapors you've given me already!
