[[Hello Dave, have a very disgruntled yet still somewhat happy looking Rose. Tired, obviously just woke out of bed, and definitely has something to tell you.]]

I thought you would be pleased to know Guile has had her first batch of eggs.

I apologize for waking you, Karkat, but there's a matter which needs tending, and I believe it requires both of our opinions.

Christmas egg?

And I will have to look into Corphish now, curiosity being piqued as it is.

I'm going to have to shuffle around my Pokémon anyhow with this egg, and I already intended to since I want to challenge the gym soon. I'll be taking Carcino with me for that, so I can show you then.

But yeah, Christmas egg. For your earth human holiday, everyone here got a mysterious egg from nowhere.

You are free to leave the egg at home with me, Karkat. I don't mind the idea of taking care of it for you. And thank you.

When you do decide to sell the rest, though, let me know. I don't just want whoever invited into my hotel room for long.

You are not making a dumbass of yourself. Simply showing that you and I are often on the same page.

I will indeed give you a cut of the profit, I will have you present for when I sell the eggs, and will be plenty willing to let you judge who is and who isn't allowed in. If I have to take the eggs out to them, I will.

That all sounds good, though. I suggest taking the eggs to them, unless it's someone I actually know and trust who ends up buying one.

[[Leaning back against the couch now with a yawn.]]

Now, if there's nothing else, I think I might actually lay back down for a while. All of this excitement has made me a tad tired again.

[With that, Karkat gets up, disappearing but briefly into the bedroom area in order to retrieve a Pokéball. Karkitty hisses preemptively, but too bad for him - he gets recalled.]

You do that. I'll ... try to organize these eggs some.

[[She does her best to hide her disappointment at the prospect of no sleepy Karkitty cuddles, easily preoccupying herself with Guile instead.]]

Just be sure to keep them together, so they can gather heat from each other.

Trust me, Rose, I know how to take care of them. I've had seven of the damn things before.

I'll keep ours off to the side, too, to keep them from getting mixed up with the rest.

I was unaware of that, Karkat, so I apologize.

[[Curling up with Guile, watching Karkat more than anything at this point.]]

[And Karkat does indeed organize them, getting them out of the way, and wrapping them warmly - once he retrieves them - in his sleeping bag and a spare blanket. Their two are, as said, placed separately, wrapped in a couple towels.]

And if it ends up that they really need heat that bad, I'll have Tildeath sit with them.

[[The way he makes sure they're wrapped up on top of it all just makes her smile and she nods.]]

I am sure they will be alright like that.

I was only making that suggestion before under the impression you had little experience with eggs, Karkat. I have little doubt in your ability or the extent of your knowledge.

Well, good then. Because Carcino, Homes, Jonathan, Sara, Tildeath, and this stupid little howlerbeast thing called a Snubbull that I foisted off on Eridan all came from eggs.

But so long as they're fine like that, I'm going to go down to the Pokémon Center, rearrange my team, and see if I can't find a job to replace what I had. The money from the eggs will help, but that and what I've got saved will only last so long before I have to beg lodging off someone else, myself.

... Didn't say I was going to ask there specifically, but I guess I might as well.
