Chapter 9; [Action for Violet City Hotel]
[[She's not exactly expecting company, sick as she is, and would prefer nobody know about it. Bundled on the couch watching whatever may be on the television - and by watching, we mean using it as background noise while she studies - she would prefer to stay that way.
However, she will not turn down a knock if someone does decide to show.]]

Knock knock.]
Comin' in!
[Aaaand barging in. c:]
action;
[[Too late. Looking up, she frowns from her spot on the couch. Cheeks and nose a rosy red, looking generally tired and unwell, and various bottles of medicine on the table; It would be amazing if you could not deduce her cold. Or her displeasure, at this point.]]
Soul, that is most certainly not how you handle situations such as this. You do not knock and come barreling in, you knock and await response.
[[So displeased.]]
action;
...
[And he makes a face. Damn, she looks so sick. '^']
Maybe we should talk over soup or something instead.
Tea'd be good if you had a sore throat, but...
action;
[[Sighing, she leans back against the couch, closing her eyes in annoyance.]]
Please, choose something and take a seat. Might I suggest the chair there? [[Here she points to a chair near by.]] You would be less likely to catch cold from me there.
action;
... [... aargh, bookish, stubborn and flat thirteen year old girl sitting in front of him, sick.
Motherhen mode, engage. :|]
action;
[[And she is simply still irritated, turning to read her book.]]
action;
I'll be right back.
[DO NOT DENY HIM. THE MOTHERHEN ~KNOWS~ WHAT YOU NEED.
Which means in a while, he comes back sans headband, hair up with a hairband and an apron on, with a bowl of soup in one hand, and a teacup and sacer in the other.
He pulls a table over with his foot, and sets it all up for her, then leans back with his hands in his apron.]
There.
Kinda looked like Strider tried taking care of you or something.
action;
Actually, hopefully, Dave does not know I am sick. John was the one to attempt. He hadn't done a terrible job, either.

HERE I AM AWAITING HER,
JUST TO SAY IT'S HER CHAUFFEUR.
NOT MUCH OF A DRIVER IF I SAY,
BUT WHO'S GOING STOP ME, HOORAY.
ROSE, OH ROSE, OH ROSIE-POO,
C'MON DON'T BE SO BLUE!
SOUP AND SALADS, IT'S A TREAT.
ALONG WITH MY WONDERFUL BEAT.
SO OPEN UP AND LET ME IN.
I NEED TO SEE WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN.
action;
Out of everyone she hadn't wanted to see while sick, Dave topped the list. So at the sound of his rapping, Rose finds herself burying further into her blankets, hoping he would go away. By the end of it though, she's heading towards the door, hoping to cease this ridiculous rhyming.
Hi Dave. Here is a pair of purple eyes peering at you from behind the door.]]
What?
action;
Sup.
action;
Not barging in? Not continuing his infuriating 'ill beats'?
Who is this and what have they done with Insufferable Prick?]]
...not a lot, Dave. Did you require something of me?
action;
You're sick, aren'tcha?
action;
And if I am?

[ACTION] late but whatever
[That's right,
Bulgereek NookstainKarkat Vantas. With some romcoms tucked under his arm, he knocks on her door.][ACTION]
...Oh. Salutations Karkat.
[[And the door is opened, one
Flighty BroadRose blearily blinking at him but moving out of the way enough for him to come in.]][ACTION]
Don't get too close to me because I am not going to catch whatever shit you have. But I imagine you're feeling crappy and other people have probably force fed you soup and crap by now, so I'm doing one thing they won't: I'm gonna put you in a better mood. Romcoms help everything, trust me.
[ACTION]
[[As she closes the door and follows, Guillemot speaks up, giving a short Eevee bark at Karkat as he sets them down. Who are you, new person?]]
What have you brought with you this time?
[ACTION] I can't think of anything off the top of my head, so
The titles aren't as worth much as the summaries on the back of the cases. Troll movie names at least gave you a gist of what you were going to see. They're all good, though; trust me.
[ACTION]
You have all of my trust when involving these films. I suppose you could say I was curious for curiosity's sake.
As usual, please. Do make yourself at home. [[And here is a gesture to the kitchen, obviously offering what meager snacks she has.]]
[ACTION]
Nah, just here for the movies with you. And talking, if you want; I doubt it would turn into a stupid argument like if did with Egbert if we do.
[So he goes to fiddle with the player, sticking the first movie in, before going to sit in the arm chair.]

[ACTION] Can't go breaking apart his ships, yo.
[ACTION] Oh Karkat, don't you realie you are already like Nepeta?
