Chapter 47; Text; Holidays!

The holiday season is approaching once more and I find myself with a few questions for you, my fellow Pokefriends.
Last year I offered to breed Pokemon for those who would like to give one to their friends.
Would anyone be interested in this sort of offer again?
I may be able to offer them as...I suppose studs and broodmares would be the best way to put it, if anyone were interested in breeding their own Pokemon with my stock.
I am also going to be stocking my yarn collection here soon, and was curious if anyone would like sweaters, scarves, mittens, toys...anything knitted as a gift.
My skills cover a wide range now, and warm clothing is always a good idea for winter here.
I can also fit Pokemon with such accessories as well if given measurements.
And yes, I realize it's only October, but the earlier I ask, the more time I give myself to work.
Anyway, if any of this interests you, I would be more than happy to accommodate any needs, answer any questions, etc.

Winter wear is a staple for the holidays after all.
It makes a good gift when you're unsure of what else to get someone.

People celebrate the holidays here?

Well, I guess that should have been obvious. People will bring their cultures with them. I'm just surprised it coincides with the holidays in my world. Are these holidays Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and so on, or are they something else?

Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day. Earth holidays are indeed celebrated here, though some more open and popular than others. I've yet to meet anyone who celebrates Hanukkah or Kwanzaa.

I'm sure there are other holidays that could be celebrated from other cultures if those from them wished so. I know the trolls have one at least one that is similar to ours, but not exactly the same.

So the majority of the people here celebrate traditionally Christian holidays? [He almost starts chattering about how many 'Christian' holidays were actually adapted from existing pagan holidays, but he's been working on not launching into a babbling tangent at the merest hint of an interesting topic.]

What about other religions, assuming you have them in your world? Islam? Judaism? Hinduism? Buddhism? Sikhism?

While they are traditional Christian holidays, they're not celebrated with any religious ties from what I've experienced. And they do exist in my world, but I have yet to see them displayed here either through topic or holiday.

What Pokemon do you have available for the breeding?

Quite the selection. For females we have Espeon, Pidgeot, Noctowl, Alakazam, Glaceon, Meganium, Ninetales (three of them, in fact), Skitty, Lopunny, Roserade, Mismagius, Ariados, Sableye, Alakazam, Jolteon, Rapidash, Jellicent, Deerling, Gastrodon, Purrloin, Feebas and Litwick.

For males there are Quagsire, Luxray, Glameow, Purugly, Leafeon, Ampharos, Torterra, Dragonite, Ninetales, Kabutops, Octillery, Arbok, Sneasel, Mamoswine, Charizard, Gallade, Tirtouga, Glailie, Vaporeon, Houndoom, Snivy, Flareon, Gengar, and Deino.

[That's a lot of Pokemon. Scratching his chin while thinking, hmm..] I'm wanting to get someone a ground type, and if I remember right, Mamoswine is one and it's not often found in the wild here. Since it's male, I could get a Ditto to you and get it's youngest form, right?

Mamoswine is both ice and ground. I also have Quagsire and Gastrodon, who are both water and ground, and Torterra is grass and ground. Just to give you options.

And yes, if you brought me a Ditto I could get you the youngest forms of any males.

Indeed.
Most commonly people enjoy receiving Pokemon that the gifter feels represents them the best.
So say someone is sort of...short and kind of loud and shouts a lot.
A good gift for someone like that would be a Pokemon that is short or loud or both.
Accompanying these gifts is also a card of well wishing, explaining which qualities you were trying to match with them.
Sometimes you can give them food or sweets as well, but that's not customary. It's just appreciated.

Years are seem so short, how do you people deal with it?
One holiday goes 8y, then 8efore you know it, it's 8ack again.

Surprising, isn't it?
I suppose we're simply used to it.
We've grown up with years, so they seem just perfect to us.
It could also be that, using years instead of anything longer, our lives seem to stretch a little further.
Living 83 years is a little more appealing than, say, 30.

But, as they say, time flies when you are enjoying yourself, right?
I don't know about anyone else, but I feel that most certainly fits my situation as of late.
