Chapter 5; [Action for Route 30]

Dave, use mud shot! And Tick, put those Pidgey to sleep!

[[This is possibly the party's largest battle yet. The group has managed to upset a large flock of Pidgey, which helped to set off a group of Hoppip as well. Rose, thankful for having travel partners at this point, is doing her best to take out a part of the angry Pokemob.

Did she mention she was thankful for having Tick? No? Well she is. As a group of Pidgey fell from the sky, out like a light, the Hoothoot focused her hypnosis on a small gathering of those pink Pokemon that were ganging up on the Wooper.]]

How are you fairing, comrades?

[[She was relieved to see Othur doing well, though his Quilava and pair of Nidoran were a high level as well, much like Tick, so she was less worried about him as she was the rest of the group.]]

action; with your help Rose, he will become the best. just keep hoping!

[Pidgey tag team is a go! Look at those tackles! They are like feathery little missiles and those wild pokémon are offending landmasses just asking for a good bombing. That's how real this shit is.]

Thanks Rose!

Don't thank me, just make sure to watch your back, alright?

[[Of course, as she says this, she finds herself needing to duck out of the way of a dive bombing bird. Rose isn't a very good example right now.]]

Dave, would you please refrain from flirting with them and do something?!

[[Why was he such an insufferable prick?]]

[John laughs, oh Rose this is simply silly. You are being a terrible example and your pokémon is just pretty ridiculous too. Does anybody in this party have a competent pokémon?]

[He probably shouldn't have laughed though, he just got doof'd tackled in the head by a Hoppip. Way to go John.]

[[And Rose will just pull him out of the way before he gets tackled again.]]

Stay with me, alright?

[[Dave finally gets around to using mud shot like his trainer had asked, trying to make it obvious he was waiting for the perfect moment. It's all about the timing.

Knocking some Hoppip out of the battle, he takes aim at a group of Pidgey.

This was just too easy. His trainer was worrying over nothing. What a poor flighty broad.]]

Alright.

[He frowns and rubs the back of his head. Ow. Those Hoppips were a lot more solid than they looked and most definitely not something you wanted colliding with your cranium.]

Tripp, take care of that Hoppip.

[Sweet feathery vengeance.]

Tick, take out that group!

[[The Hoothoot did so with diligence, and the skies were finally looking clear of Pokemon on their end. What caught her attention next was Tick's odd glow.

Which turned into a bit of a blinding light. Shielding her eyes, she began to worry slightly. What exactly had she done to Tick, and would she be okay?

Noc!

Looking back, she was greeted not with Tick the Hoothoot staring at her, but Tick the Noctowl.]]

...Tick? Wait, Tick, no--

[[Too late. It seems she still enjoyed perching upon people's heads, and was currently occupying Rose's crown, much to her dismay.]]

action;

[John just stares as the small owl as it begins to glow and then--oh wow that was pretty cool! And, without those red eyes, Tick is considerably less creepy now to boot.]

[But seeing that bird try to sit on Rose's head now is just too funny. He can't help but laugh. It's just so silly looking...or so thinks the boy with a Dunsparce on his head.]

[[She offers him little but a snort in return, wincing slightly as the large owl tried to make a nest in her hair like she used to be able to do.]]

Tick, you are far too large for that now...But I see you are determined, and admire that I suppose.

[[Sigh.]]
