Chapter 5; [Action for Route 30]
Dave, use mud shot! And Tick, put those Pidgey to sleep!
[[This is possibly the party's largest battle yet. The group has managed to upset a large flock of Pidgey, which helped to set off a group of Hoppip as well. Rose, thankful for having travel partners at this point, is doing her best to take out a part of the angry Pokemob.
Did she mention she was thankful for having Tick? No? Well she is. As a group of Pidgey fell from the sky, out like a light, the Hoothoot focused her hypnosis on a small gathering of those pink Pokemon that were ganging up on the Wooper.]]
How are you fairing, comrades?
[[She was relieved to see Othur doing well, though his Quilava and pair of Nidoran were a high level as well, much like Tick, so she was less worried about him as she was the rest of the group.]]

[Was John having as mush ease with these wild pokémon as Rose was? Unfortunately not. Suddenly he found himself wishing that he had spent more time training during their week in Cherrygrove. What the hell had he been doing with his time? Obviously nothing productive.]
Sassacre! Use yawn!
...What did that even do!? Did that do anything? I'm not see--
[Suddenly, dozing Pidgeys. Dozing Pidgeys everywhere.]
Oh.
There we go. Okay. I guess you can use...rage or something on them now.
[Clearly we are dealing with the future master of all pokémon here.]

John, be careful! Those grass Pokemon don't have an intimidating appearance, but they're still dangerous.
action; You have such faith in him don't you Rose?
like a BAWSSand Tripp appears in a flash of light! Aww yeah, Pidgey. Shit just got real.]Tripp, use gust!
[Tripp does the windy thing.]
[Hoppips are just blowing in the breeze like the little seed things they are.]
action; It's more like hope. She has hope for him.
Pilcrow, go help John.
[[Not that the bird could do much more than tackle, but goddammit all if he's not tackling those Hoppips with something fierce!]]
action; with your help Rose, he will become the best. just keep hoping!
Thanks Rose!
action;
[[Of course, as she says this, she finds herself needing to duck out of the way of a dive bombing bird. Rose isn't a very good example right now.]]
Dave, would you please refrain from flirting with them and do something?!
[[Why was he such an insufferable prick?]]
action;
[He probably shouldn't have laughed though, he just got
doof'dtackled in the head by a Hoppip. Way to go John.]action;
Stay with me, alright?
[[Dave finally gets around to using mud shot like his trainer had asked, trying to make it obvious he was waiting for the perfect moment. It's all about the timing.
Knocking some Hoppip out of the battle, he takes aim at a group of Pidgey.
This was just too easy. His trainer was worrying over nothing. What a poor flighty broad.]]
action;
[He frowns and rubs the back of his head. Ow. Those Hoppips were a lot more solid than they looked and most definitely not something you wanted colliding with your cranium.]
Tripp, take care of that Hoppip.
[Sweet feathery vengeance.]
action;
[[The Hoothoot did so with diligence, and the skies were finally looking clear of Pokemon on their end. What caught her attention next was Tick's odd glow.
Which turned into a bit of a blinding light. Shielding her eyes, she began to worry slightly. What exactly had she done to Tick, and would she be okay?
Noc!
Looking back, she was greeted not with Tick the Hoothoot staring at her, but Tick the Noctowl.]]
...Tick? Wait, Tick, no--
[[Too late. It seems she still enjoyed perching upon people's heads, and was currently occupying Rose's crown, much to her dismay.]]
action;
[But seeing that bird try to sit on Rose's head now is just too funny. He can't help but laugh. It's just so silly looking...or so thinks the boy with a Dunsparce on his head.]
action;
Tick, you are far too large for that now...But I see you are determined, and admire that I suppose.
[[Sigh.]]
[action]
Don't just sit there, you bloody idiots! Dualscar, use fuckin' bite so we can get going!
[Dualscar just smiled and wagged his tail as Eridan got closer.]
[action]
Much to her dismay, she couldn't just let him be pecked to death.]]
Tick, please go help him.
[[She just. Won't tell Dave she used his Pokemon to save the tool's ass.
The Hoothoot, meanwhile, does a good job of putting some of those offending Pidgey to sleep.]]
[action]
Dualscar, I said use bite!
[He points to the rest of the pidgeys. Dualscar looked at him and started making noises instead. Like he was yelling back.]
Don't talk back to me! I am your master!
[action]
Maybe it will use a move it knows better, Eridan. Ask it to use Bounce.
[[Please use it, Dualscar, please.]]
[action]
[He said this through gritted teeth as it finally uses the move.]
[Action]
[Thank goodness his Mr. Mime had a working think pan, because this would probably be a huge problem!]
[Juggabro was ready for this, he hadn't exactly settled his score with that mass flock of Hoothoots, and despite these being pidgeys, he figured they were fucking close enough.]
MIIIIIIIME!
[Focusing on the large group of pidgey, Mr. Mime sent out a psychic wave of confusion, harming and making the birds start to fly around more sporadically and even start attacking each other.]
[Mean while little Spinda was doing it's part against the hoppip, causing an uproar of screeches and thrashing. Causing the hoppip to cringe and writhe. All that noise and the thrashing was making it hard for the poor things to do anything.]
[Who knew Gamzee actually had useful pokemon. Now only if his pokemon had a useful master.]
[action]
Indy, use Scratch!
[... it's the best thing he has.]
[action]
Tau, use Ember! Zero and Ursa, you guys use Fury Swipes.
[One is off giving those Pidgey a good round of poison sting, and their trainer's just leaving Hanna out of this battle for now. They don't need Metronome. They really don't. Othur is here to back you up as best he can, Aradia.]
no subject
The luckiest traveling party around, probably! ]
Let's go, Spinner. Shadow sneak!
[ And the giant spider proceeds to not be having much a problem against the hoppip. ]
action;
[Truly are the most fortunate. Clearly you are the most amazing.]
action;
[ Clearly.
The ariados is still just going at it against the birds and plant monsters, having the time of his spidery life apparently. ]
action;
[He's just watching it. Holy crap that is a huge, happy spider.]
action;
But your pokemon can probably do just as much, right?
[ Happy, happy spider. ]
action;
[He tosses a pokéball and his Pidgey appears in a flash of light.]
Tripp, use gust!
[This is his most competent pokémon. A Pidgey. You're just awestruck, aren't you? Look at all those pokémon just blowing in the wind.]
action;
Wow, John, that was awesome!
I knew you would be a great trainer. I have a good eye for talent.

Impressive, Vriska.

You think so? Spinner's training probably isn't going as well as it should- the cold isn't any good on him.
