Chapter 45; Video/Filtered Text/Action for Other House/Goldenrod

[[Rose has finally adjusted to the new body temperature enough to not stutter and stammer from the cold. Her sharp teeth no longer chatter, so she feels she can finally make a public post.

When the feed turns on, it's a little ways away from her held by her Espeon to keep it from freezing over. Again. And the room she's in has become somewhat of an ice cave. She's not bothering to hide her mutations at all, just happy it's not a billion degrees hot in her room anymore.]]

I was wondering if anyone afflicted with ice abilities has figured out how to eat or drink without freezing the food or liquid before it reaches your mouth yet. I'm starting to become very hungry and I'm sure the slight dizziness is likely from dehydration, but every time it gets close my breath freezes it. I'm a little frightened of trying to just...get it down as quickly as possible and it freezing solid in my throat and choking me.

[[A small frown.]] If there are even just...ideas I will take those as well. Thank you.

[[Various things around the house are...well. Frozen over. The coffee pot, the handle to the fridge, some of the silverware on the counters and even parts of the counters themselves. Someone's been trying to make something she can eat or drink that she can actually consume, but it's just not working out. And so she decided to try and clean up a little around the house.

Meaning the broom handle is frozen, the dustpan is frozen, parts of tables are frozen...the girl isn't giving up though! She can be found around the house and garden, trying to find something to keep her busy.]]

[[This same girl later can be found on her way to the Department Store with her parasol to stock up on healing items and plenty of ice heals. There's an ever present Espeon at her heels, eying everyone warily. Dare you approach? If nothing else, the cool air around her will probably feel good in the summer heat. Portable AC anyone?]]

[Luke's dressed up in a hoodie, which is a pretty unusual style of dress for him, with his back turned towards the other shoppers. It's uncomfortably hot in this thing, but the cool air around him is a welcome relief.]

[And as soon as he sneezes, he buzzes with electricity.]

[[The sneeze and buzz makes her jump slightly and she turns to look for the source.]]

[At the sound of Rose's voice, Luke pulls his hood down further. He doesn't want her to see him like this.]

Um, hi Rose! I didn't see you there.

[Just ignore the fact that he's looking down and trying to hide his face.]

[The Other Father was hungry; that isn't a crime is it? He had gone to the kitchen to eat, feeling a little better, wanting to just have a snack... and then his hand

[He says it quite loudly, sounding unsure and hoping to attract someone's attention. His hand really isn't un-sticking and the water element isn't helping either.

[[Hearing the Other Father call, she puts down the current frozen broom and moves into the kitchen.]]

Father? You called?

[He turns his head and as much as his body as he can around, moving out of the vision of the fridge door and his hand whilst doing so.]

[It won't be until Rose comes out in the garden that she finds Droolbert John. He's sitting next to the pond, leaning against Selina like a sort of lion-y body pillow while Tron floats around excitedly. Occasionally, John shoots a little bolt at the ghost and Tron shoots one back, the two colliding in midair and making tiny sparks fly.]

[Seems Rose isn't the only one who doesn't have something to do...]

[[Watching the scene a moment, Rose moves to stand behind him, frowning a little as the grass she's standing on freezes over and shifting the parasol handle in her hands a little.]]

[He leans his head back over Selina and looks at Rose upside-down. He then shifts and picks up a notebook, writes something down then resumes his former position, holding the book up to Rose...]
