As I see it is that time again in Johto, I would like to make a general "Welcome to the magical world of Pokemon" statement to all new comers. I'm Rose, and if I have not personally introduced myself yet, my apologies.

I would just like to offer my knowledge to you all, especially those of you who are breeders. I'm no expert, but I have gathered many notes over my time here and I always want to share this knowledge.

For those of you with no interest in that, I do still want to talk to you! About what, you ask? Just you.

[[And, as stated, she is outside the center with her Espeon and Pidgeot at her side. She's actually sporting a pair of shades for once because stupid sun, but other than that isn't too dressed up.

[ Karkat doesn't let his Crobat out until they're outside. he's still a troll. no shits given about fashion. but he is wearing a t-shirt instead of that long sleeved nonsense.

looks like he found a printing company to put his symbol on it though. ]

[[She appraises the shirt first, then nods.]]

Ready when you are. [[She and Guile hop onto Pilcrow, who chirps pleasantly at Karkat and Josie. The Espeon also purrs to the couple.]]

[ six foot tall bat, nix the wingspan, is a giant bat. Karkat hops on, ready as those wings start to beat. ]

[[It is a giant bat. An impressive one at that. As she starts to flap her wings, Pilcrow does the same and takes to the skies, circling as she waits for Josie.]]

Josie looks great, Karkat.

[ soon he's sailing right next to Rose, Guile, and the Pilcrow, snorting but having a little smile all the same. ]

Thank you. [[Now that Karkat is up with them, she starts heading towards Ecruteak, clearly already enjoying the ride.]]

[ shrugs. at least the flight won't be super long. thank god for that. it's not that he hates flying. oh no. he loves it. it's just he is kind of hungry. ]

Wondering how the fuck to reconcile a new years worth of memories into what's going on here.

[[And desperate for steamed dumplings and pad thai?]]

Yeah. I was talking to Kimblee about some of it. It all boiled down to 'what the fuck is the meaning to life' and 'how can I screw up my quadrants as much as fucking possible.'

I mean, seriously... What the fuck kind of troll is so desperate that they want only one person to fill them all - except pale.

[[Oh she's not questioning his love for them. She was not surprised at all by the desperation he felt.

A unique one? I doubt it's desperation. Desperation would be attaching to anyone who so much as looks in your direction. Perhaps this one troll simply exhibits all the qualities you want in someone of each quadrant, and therefore would be the perfect candidate.

And if they seem like your perfect candidate for all three of them, it wouldn't be so much of a leap to understand why you'd want only them.

For humans it's not and I kind of understand that to a degree. That's not how it is for trolls. You don't do that sort of thing. I'm thinking I realized it way too fucking late in this case and there's not a damned thing I can do to reverse the situation with her...

That may be, but this wouldn't be the first thing about you that differs from "normal" trolls, would it? Does she know about the situation? Do you know how she feels about it?

Exactly. Like I need something else to be wrong with me, Rose... I can't be at least normal in one area in my life?

[ and then quieter. ]

She's... She's too busy with Strider and the Mayor to really listen to me now. That's also probably my fault.

[[She listens, quietly in thought.]]

Different is not exactly wrong. It's simply different. Despite what others think.

I don't think it's necessarily completely your fault for such a thing. Being such good friends with Dave, I'm sure she's just excited to finally get to spend time with him. I wish I was from further along, so I would know the situation better, but...

Have you ever tried to calmly ask for a talk with her? Even with Dave and...the Mayor around, a calm request typically will give you the chance to approach things like this.

Me? Asking calmly? You know better than to suggest such a thing.

On the contrary. Knowing better is exactly why I am suggesting it. Because it is something you should try.
