[[There's a mischievous smile greeting the camera today as Rose starts it up. In her arm is the top of what looks like a Swinub, and judging by the light snoring it's fast asleep. She seems to be outside.]]

Johto, I will now teach you how to prank resident pranking master John Egbert. Do pay close attention, and be sure that you viewers at home have taken the time to prepare for such a prank. Meaning pay the local Adoption Center here in Goldenrod a visit and take home a cutie like this.

[[The Swinub now shows on the screen as she angles the pokegear toward it, before back towards her as she tells you all to shoosh. There's a lovely view of the ground as a door is opened, and then it becomes clear she's entering the Other House. The gear is pointed in front of her and soon a kitchen is entered, where the master in question is seen sitting at the table, reading a book and sipping at some hot cocoa. He is none the wiser of her presence, it seems, as he doesn't look up.]]

John, I have positively wonderful news to inform you of.

[[John gives a small hum of curiosity, but doesn't look up.]]

Oh? What's that?

[[Rose waits just until he begins taking another drink of the cocoa before she answers. A comedic pause, if you will.]]

You are going to be a father soon.

[[Just as in all of those classic comedies, this garners the brilliant reaction know as the 'spittake'. Cocoa goes just about everywhere, and knowing Rose she is likely holding an inner funeral for the poor book laid out in front of him, which surely saw the brunt of the spray.

Following this, there's choking. And even before he's really done choking he takes this opportunity to look up at Rose with what could likely be described as positive\ bewilderment. And after a few more coughs he manages to stutter out a reply.]]

Wh-what?!

[[There's a chuckle in response.]]

Mhm. I took it upon myself to adopt this little one today, and have found he tends to be quite clingy. I have no doubts in my mind, with how good you are with young Pokemon, that he will substitute you for the equivalent of a father in no time.

Oh! Haha I thought you meant...

[[And that's when he catches sight of the gear pointing directly at him, his expression changing from one of anxious relief to a flat stare.]]

You just pranked me in front of the entire network, didn't you?

Hm? Oh...something like that, yes.

[[And that's where the feed ends.]]

[Even after the camera is turned off, continues giving Rose an almost uncharacteristically hard stare, remaining firmly in his seat and saying absolutely nothing.]

Oh come on John. [[And now that the camera is off, she can't help but laugh a little.]] Have I done some unspeakable crime, pranking you of all people?

[Nope. John's face is still scrunched into a displeased frown. Though at least he's getting up now and slowly making his way over towards Rose. When he reaches her, he stops mere inches away from her. Man he would be so much more intimidating if he were actually taller than her...]

I can't believe you would do something like that!

[He sounds about as happy as he looks...]

[ Dave is in his bed — surprise! — and mostly obscured by the wealth of Ninetales surrounding him. He presses a hand to his chest, mimicking a dreamy sort of sigh. ]

So I get to be a godparent? Took you guys long enough.

[ Dave clasps his hands together in front of his breastbone. This would be more effective if you could see his eyelashes fluttering behind those shades. ]

Congratulations on your newly obtained, uhh... wiggler Pokemon human grub baby?

I sort of thought that having a grub spawn was a happy occasion, though, so I'm not really getting the situation here, uhh, I guess.

[Vriska missed something too. She understands the concept of a father, but not what becoming one entails.]

Wait, wait, wait, what? What did he think you meant?

I thought...okay. [Wow. Awkward. Now how to make this a less awkward conversation than it needs to be?] Well I thought she meant it in the sense that it was a human baby. Not an adopted pokemon baby.

Well, it helps I've been learning from the master himself. But, eventually, every master is...surpassed by his apprentice. [[Just can't help taking a jab at John.

I'm sure it looked utterly ridiculous...which is why I am sort of glad that I couldn't see it. I am already feeling humiliated enough as it is. Though very proud and touched at the same time. It's a weird feeling, honestly.

Oh god, no, no, no! [All of his nervous laughter.] I'm not. Rose just adopted a new pokemon and was making a joke and pulling a very crafty prank.

[At one point, Yosuke was planning on saying something... but now he's laughing too hard. That was both terrifying and hilarious.]
