Dave, I would just like to show you this little gem.

I thought I would give you a good week or so to obtain it first, seeing as I was already a badge ahead of you, but this is getting ridiculous. I think I will change my goal of only obtaining useful badges. From here out, I will work towards all of them. We'll make this a competition, how's that sound? A friendly sibling rivalry.

Who can come to possess all eight badges first? Lalonde? Or Strider?

[[Chuckling, she tucks the badge back in her bag, straightening once more.]]

That said, I felt a celebration was in order. And, seeing as it is so warm out, what better way to celebrate than with a little summer party? John, Dave, you are both expected to attend, and I will not take no for an answer. You might want to dress water friendly.

Anyone else in the Violet area is perfectly welcome to come as well.

We're equipped with Insufferable Prick, resident sprinkler system. The newest addition to my team, Haze, can offer plenty of cooler temperatures being an Ice Pokemon. Halos is more than willing to fetch you snacks or beverages if you'd like.

Seriously. I bet even Maka'd get out of the house for something like that; even though she'd still tote a book along.

I wouldn't blame her for bringing a book. It's a wonderful environment for reading in, after all.

More like not enough reason. It was just mother and myself living at home, and we lived quite a ways away from the nearest city. No friends or acquaintances to really invite over.

And mother...well. If I wanted one, she would have given me one anyway, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be the same without friends to enjoy it with and nothing but a passive aggressive alcoholic to keep you company.
