Chapter 59; Text;
I have a question for you all today.
What sorts of things do you do with your families?
Or did, in case they're not here, you no longer lived with them at home, etc.
Did you have many family outings?
Did you stay at home and watch television together?
Did you play card games or board games or something?
How did you enjoy your time together?
Or...tell me about them maybe...
Do you live with both of your parents?
Do you have any siblings?
Are you the oldest or the youngest?
...I guess I actually have a lot of questions.
Sorry about that.

What do you consider to be family? Your blood relations? Your friends?
What of those who do not profess to have such a thing?
text;
My blood relatives, some of my very dear friends.
If you don't have a family...
That makes me a little sad to hear, honestly.
Because families can be really wonderful!
But friends are just as good of a subject to focus on instead.
text;
To lack is to be unfortunate?
Can we truly lack such things? We are shaped by our experiences. Those who we have lived with, spent time with, or perhaps even cared about have given us the form we wear. Even if they are not physically present, one could take comfort in being who they are because of that person... that person an inexplicable part of their makeup. The shake of a hand, an embrace, or a ruthless punch all weave into the fabric of the individual.
We cannot lack when we carry such things around with us.
text;
But...it's a very pleasant experience.
It's nice having those people around.
Just as nice as it is having friends.
And...I guess it's not really unfortunate not to have a family either.
Just, speaking from personal experience, it's nice having one.
But you could be just as well off without one.

Re: text;

I would guess that would bring you all that much closer, wouldn't it?
Being able to work so well together.
text;
It wasn't meant to last, unfortunately.
text;
What happened?
text;
text;
That must have been difficult to handle.
text;
The spirit isn't quite what you were looking for, I assume. You wanted the trite trivialities of bonding, as a sort of distraction for your own emotional distress I would assume.
text;
Ah, good guess.
Though I may have been looking for something specific, I'm interested in hearing everyone's stories.
Even if they are sad.
Learning more about the people that surround me is something I've always wanted to do, so I welcome everyone's tales.
text;
Honing that skill is what allowed me to perceive the intent of your message... your phrasing and uncertain tone indicated that something greater was on your mind rather than what you were requesting.
text;
I have an interest in people, and I want to get closer to them.
Make new friends.
And the best way to do that is to get to know them.
You're certainly correct in your perception.
I'm impressed!
text;
Thank you, young miss. It's something of a hobby. Sometimes I am correct and sometimes I am not, but each time my skill grows just a bit more.
