Well I guess that would be because, despite how insufferable he can be sometimes, he's actually a pretty cool guy. And not the ironic coolkid thing, I mean he legitimately is a pretty cool guy. You're his friend because you enjoy spending time with him and talking to him, despite the fact that sometimes he's a complete douche-bag.
