We were as brothers, he and I. United under our master, we trained and lived together for many years. Perhaps one could say that I was the intellect and he was the prowess, for though both of our bodies were hale and our minds keen, we had different temperaments. I was more inclined toward the path of the mystic, while he honed his martial prowess. We complemented each other very well, one could say.
