As I see it is that time again in Johto, I would like to make a general "Welcome to the magical world of Pokemon" statement to all new comers. I'm Rose, and if I have not personally introduced myself yet, my apologies.

I would just like to offer my knowledge to you all, especially those of you who are breeders. I'm no expert, but I have gathered many notes over my time here and I always want to share this knowledge.

For those of you with no interest in that, I do still want to talk to you! About what, you ask? Just you.

Hi, how are you? Have we met before? How has your day been going? Or your stay in Johto? It may seem silly to ask this of complete strangers, but I'm genuinely interested.

It's been a little while since we've heard a location update from you, and while I try not to be nosy I do like knowing where you are.

Technical machines are capable of teaching Pokemon new attacks. Not all machines can be used on all Pokemon - for example fire types cannot typically learn water type attacks - but some attacks can't be learned by the Pokemon simply be leveling up.

{He nods. That makes sense.} Pokemon can learn many moves, then?

Yes. An impressive amount in some cases.

I see. I saw the database, but there was no such information there. Just that this Pokemon is called an Eevee, and that it now belongs to me. {Eevee nuzzles his face, but by this point Haou has stopped caring.}

Well if you ask me, Eevee is one of the better Pokemon to start with. [[You are talking to someone who likes to believe she is an Eevee master.]]

Most Pokemon, as you may or may not have learned by now, evolve as they grow more powerful. Many of them are straight evolutions. Charmander evolves into Charmeleon, and then into Charizard for example. Some have one deviating evolution. Kirlia will evolve into Gardevoir, but if you expose it to a Dawn Stone, it will evolve into Gallade instead.

Eevee, however, is unique in that it has seven different evolutions you are able to choose from.

Really? {So he got lucky. This is quite pleasing. He reaches up and scratches behind the Eevee's ears. Perhaps he could grow fond of it...

Really. Each utilizing a different method to evolve and pertaining to a different type. And yes, it is Rose. It's a pleasure.

I am... {He was going to say 'the Supreme King', but he's not exactly in his own kingdom right now. Should probably keep that under his hat for the time being.} ...Haou.
