If you misbehave, and refuse to listen, I will take away a bag of your cheese puffs, and will not return it until we reach Violet. If you run out of food, you will get whatever scraps are left over from everyone else's dinner, and will have to deal with that.

So good behavior equals reward. Bad behavior equals punishment.
