[[Today you're greeted with a rare sight. Not only is Rose wet and dressed in a rather cute Dratini themed bikini, but she's outside and wearing a rather smug grin.]]

Dave, I would just like to show you this little gem.

[[And here she holds the Violet City badge up to the camera.]]

I thought I would give you a good week or so to obtain it first, seeing as I was already a badge ahead of you, but this is getting ridiculous. I think I will change my goal of only obtaining useful badges. From here out, I will work towards all of them. We'll make this a competition, how's that sound? A friendly sibling rivalry.

Who can come to possess all eight badges first? Lalonde? Or Strider?

[[Chuckling, she tucks the badge back in her bag, straightening once more.]]

That said, I felt a celebration was in order. And, seeing as it is so warm out, what better way to celebrate than with a little summer party? John, Dave, you are both expected to attend, and I will not take no for an answer. You might want to dress water friendly.

Anyone else in the Violet area is perfectly welcome to come as well.

[[From here, the camera is turned, apparently to show of various attractions as she begins explaining everything.]]

We're equipped with Insufferable Prick, resident sprinkler system. The newest addition to my team, Haze, can offer plenty of cooler temperatures being an Ice Pokemon. Halos is more than willing to fetch you snacks or beverages if you'd like.

And of course your Pokemon are all quite welcome too. The more the merrier, right?

[[With a tiny wave, she shuts the feed off.]]

[Slowly making to lay down and bring her along with him.]

Mmm, it does indeed.

Mmmhm...oh wait. Hold on. [He gets to his feet once more, talking over to where he had placed his jeans upon arriving (because lol, what is bringing your bag? Why would he need that?) and pulls four pokéballs off the belt. Four flashes of light later, Lestat, Selina, Tera-Geist, and Elliot are standing before him.]

Sorry for not letting you guys out sooner. But we're having a little party so I figured you might enjoy some fresh air. Just...don't wander too far, okay? Oh and...Selina and Elliot, if you don't mind, Rose and I need a pillow and someone to watch our stuff for us... [The Luxray knows exactly what he means by that and is more than happy to oblige, sauntering over to Rose and laying down behind her head. A nap with master and his girlfriend? She has no objection! Neither does Elliot to being a Guardnoir. Lestat, meanwhile, immediately beelines for the rock Guile and Haze are resting on, joining them in their sun bath. And Tera-Geist...uh. She's going to go hang out with Elliot. Yup. Double ghost guards, their stuff is so safe.]

[Once that's done, John walks back over to Rose and lays down, resting against Selina and giving her a thankful scratch behind the ear.]

Okay. now we are ready for a nap. At least, I am. [Except for that part where he forgot sunscreen.]

Oh, thank you Selina. [[Thankful scratches from her as well before she rests against her side. And...it's okay. Rose is draping the towel over them.]]

I am as well.

[[Lestat? Guile is more than happy to move over for you. Haze is going to eye you and stay on her other side though. And you get a few grumpy growls from Karkitty before he rolls over to sleep and ignore the both of you.]]

[Happy lion purrs!]

Mmm... [Don't mind him, Rose. He's just going to snuggle up as close to you as he can, turning on his side to face you as his hand seeks yours out under the towel.]

Well, I do try not to be dull.

They do like to keep you on your toes, huh! Falkner was a challenge for me back when I just had Mr. Bear.

That they do. It's refreshing after meeting trainers upon the routes who pose little challenge. At this point, I feel I would be interested in doing battle with others such as ourselves more than the seemingly mindless drones Johto offers.

How exciting. And how many have you come into possession of?

You are quite talented at avoiding that, Ryuzaki. I never find myself bored whilst speaking with you.

And your oft descriptive prose, likewise, never ceases to enthrall me.

I like challenges myself, and I think our Pokemon enjoy it too!

Uhm...two right now! A badge from the gym in Violet and one from Goldenrod.

I'm fairly sure they do too. Well, most of them. My Glameow didn't enjoy it in the beginning, but then he is very scared of everything.

Oh very nice. I have yet to challenge Goldenrod, but plan to do so upon my return.

The Sandslash I have still doesn't like fighting too much, but that's all right if she doesn't like it.

Oh uhm, just be careful of the gym leader there! She's...a sore loser if you do beat her.

Is she a little shy, or simply doesn't seem to enjoy it?

And yes, so I've both heard and seen first hand while watching my friend battle her. Thank you for the warning though.

I think she might be shy! I got her from someone I knew a while back. Unfortunately he isn't here anymore.

Ah, it's good you know then! I was definitely caught off-guard when I first battled her. I mean, I felt bad about it but if she's like this every time she fights someone...

Was she an egg when you got her? If not, she may be uncomfortable being separated from him still, and therefor a little unsure.

And yes. I have a feeling I know where you are going with that thought, and am pretty sure she's likely pretending. I will have to attempt a little reverse psychology while there to see if I can call her on crocodile tears.

Nope, she was fully grown! And I think her first trainer had problems er, training her too.

Reverse psychology, huh? How clever! I hope it works, it might save a lot of new trainers the pain of hearing her lose.

Hmm. Poor thing. Is she good friends with any of your other Pokemon?
