Dave, I would just like to show you this little gem.

I thought I would give you a good week or so to obtain it first, seeing as I was already a badge ahead of you, but this is getting ridiculous. I think I will change my goal of only obtaining useful badges. From here out, I will work towards all of them. We'll make this a competition, how's that sound? A friendly sibling rivalry.

Who can come to possess all eight badges first? Lalonde? Or Strider?

[[Chuckling, she tucks the badge back in her bag, straightening once more.]]

That said, I felt a celebration was in order. And, seeing as it is so warm out, what better way to celebrate than with a little summer party? John, Dave, you are both expected to attend, and I will not take no for an answer. You might want to dress water friendly.

Anyone else in the Violet area is perfectly welcome to come as well.

[[From here, the camera is turned, apparently to show of various attractions as she begins explaining everything.]]

We're equipped with Insufferable Prick, resident sprinkler system. The newest addition to my team, Haze, can offer plenty of cooler temperatures being an Ice Pokemon. Halos is more than willing to fetch you snacks or beverages if you'd like.

Please John. Do you really need more Haunter themed clothing? Why not a water type? After all, they're swim trunks.

More like not enough reason. It was just mother and myself living at home, and we lived quite a ways away from the nearest city. No friends or acquaintances to really invite over.

And mother...well. If I wanted one, she would have given me one anyway, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be the same without friends to enjoy it with and nothing but a passive aggressive alcoholic to keep you company.

[He blinks a bit at that, but nods; almost understandingly. Considering Wes was the same (minus the alcoholism) and his parents nearly ignored him...]

Rose, please. You and I both know it's impossible to have too much Haunter-themed clothing. Besides it's not like I have that much. Just pajama pants and boxer shorts...and that one shirt. In the end, I guess it will just depend on what they have in stock.

Indeed I am. To be honest, it's still a slightly new discovery and concept for me, however it's not turning out to be as terrible as I thought it might.

Thank you very much Luke. And I will certainly need the luck, I'm sure. Falkner was merely easy because I waited until my Pokemon were well over the recommended level for challenging him. I'm sure those later on will be far more difficult.

She'd probably like that a lot, especially if you're doing water things. I think the only problem here is expecting her to wait long enough to buy me water clothes before she just runs off to go to your party, ehehe. She's pretty excitable like that.

Yes. Apparently, John has had a date planned for Goldenrod, but we left before he had the chance to invite me. So we're planning on going once we've reached Goldenrod once more. I'm curious...and quite excited.
